The singer had earlier joined her husband in dedicating their son to God in church, with a video from the ceremony showing the couple on the podium with their baby.
Following the service, Simi shared photos from the dedication celebration on social media and also revealed her son’s full name as Adeifemi Oba Ajani Kosoko.
In an emotional message dedicated to her son, the mother of two prayed for his protection, good health, peace and happiness.
She wrote, “Adeifemi Oba Ajani Kosoko. Omo Simisola. Oni Adekunle. Aburo Adejare. Jesus baby. Kaabo.”
She continued, “We dedicate you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You abide in the shelter of the Most High and dwell in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Simi also prayed for her son, saying, “I speak life, joy, good health, and peace into your body, your mind, your spirit, and your soul. I commit you into the hands of Jesus Christ. God keep you and cause His face to shine on you.”
Concluding the heartfelt message, she affectionately described him as her “Fresh Prince,” “lil champ” and “lil pop.”
Simi and Adekunle Gold welcomed their second child, a baby boy, earlier this year. Adekunle Gold later clarified that contrary to online speculation, the couple did not welcome twins.
The couple, who already have a daughter, have continued to keep their family life relatively private while occasionally sharing special moments with their fans.
